Routing and VPN Passthrough
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
Hi,
I had internet connected to Draytek router and VPN L2TP/IPSec was working to it's one of the Lan. But due to some uplink speed issue (speed down less than 500Kbps) I had to make my ASUS router internet facing (which was earlier as one of the LAN devices to Draytek. But now Draytek is lan device to ASUS router. Internet is working fine with good uplink speed (40Mbps) now on all clients of both routers. But I have issue of,
1) VPN remote dial-in stopped working even though I have enabled VPN passthrough in ASUS with port forwardings for 4500/500/1701/50 and static routes for each of the Draytek Lans in Asus router. But still VPN remote dial in is not working.
2) I have 2 public static IPs configured in one of the Draytek Lans. And even though I have configured the static route for that public static IP subnet to route to Draytek. In traceroute I can see last it hits is the WAN ip of ASUS then it just times out for rest of the hops.
For anyone who is good at such routings, this should be a quick fix.
