Restore Wi-Fi on Windows 11
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I’m running Windows 11 (Version 25H2 – Build 26200.8457) on a laptop that originally used the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160 MHz adapter. While trying to speed things up I disabled third-party services in System Configuration and then uninstalled the wireless adapter. Since then the Wi-Fi icon has vanished and I can’t reconnect to any networks.
Because of my disability I rely on written communication only—no voice calls, please. A local Australian freelancer would be ideal for time-zone convenience, but I’m open to anyone who can keep costs low.
Here’s what I need:
• You connect by remote desktop (Quick Assist, AnyDesk, or similar) and restore wireless networking while typing explanations I can follow in real time.
• Explanations must stay at a basic level; assume I’m comfortable clicking buttons and typing commands but unfamiliar with deeper system terminology.
• At each major step please pause so I can confirm I’m ready to continue. This is to ensure my disability doesn’t get provoked.
• When the connection is back, send me a brief text summary of everything done so I can keep it for future reference.
I have already tried a couple of generic troubleshooters and driver scans without success, so please come prepared to:
– Re-enable critical services in msconfig
– Reinstall or roll back the Intel Wi-Fi 6 driver
– Check Device Manager and network profiles
– Verify that Windows Update or manufacturer drivers don’t overwrite our fix
If additional tools or downloads are required, let me know beforehand so I can approve them. The session should finish with my Wi-Fi icon restored, networks visible, and internet access confirmed.
