Part-time AWS VPN Engineer and Company Representative

Job Title: Part-Time AWS Site-to-Site VPN Engineer
Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer for a part-time role to establish a Site-to-Site VPN connection using IPSec between our AWS environment and a key client. The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end setup, validation, and troubleshooting of the connection while ensuring seamless communication with the client’s technical team. This role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills, as the candidate will act as the company’s representative in client-facing discussions and will represent the company during onboarding process.
This is a part-time position for 2-3 months, requiring approximately 20 hours per month. The candidate must be able to work within the UAE time zone and communicate fluently in English to effectively coordinate and maintain all client communications and presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
1)Design and configure AWS Site-to-Site VPN using IPSec with the client’s network.
2)Set up Customer Gateway (CGW) and Virtual Private Gateway (VGW) or Transit Gateway (TGW) in AWS.
3)Define and manage routing, security groups, and firewall rules for secure connectivity.
4)Conduct end-to-end testing and validation of the VPN connection with the client.
5)Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity or security issues in coordination with both internal and client teams.
6)Coordinate and maintain all client communications and presentations related to the VPN setup and represent the company profile and history to the client.
7)Represent the company professionally in client meetings, ensuring clear communication of technical matters and business related.
Required Skills & Experience:
1)Proven experience in setting up AWS Site-to-Site VPN with IPSec.
2)Strong understanding of IPSec, IKEv1/IKEv2, NAT, and firewall configurations.
3)Hands-on experience with AWS networking services (VPC, VPN, Transit Gateway, Route Tables, Security Groups).
4)Experience with firewall and VPN appliances (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto, pfSense, etc.).
5)Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions with clients.
6)Ability to document network setups and provide clear reports to stakeholders.
7)Fluent in English, with strong ability to coordinate and maintain all client communications and presentations.
8)Must be able to support working in the UAE time zone.
