Job Description:
We are looking for a Network Management System (NMS) Specialist and Dashboard Developer to assist in the implementation of an NMS solution for our organization, which owns multiple schools. The goal is to monitor the internet connectivity, status of the routers, and the computers across all our schools, and consolidate this data into a central admin dashboard. This project aims to track and quickly address any internet outages caused by different factors.
Responsibilities:
Assist in defining specific requirements for the NMS and the central admin dashboard.
Recommend appropriate NMS solutions based on our specific needs and budget.
Set up and configure the chosen NMS solution on our server.
Ensure remote access setup for routers and computers at the schools.
Define and configure alert parameters for the NMS.
Develop a central admin dashboard to display relevant data. Knowledge of dashboarding tools like Grafana, Tableau, or custom development is a plus.
Test the complete setup to ensure correct monitoring and alerting.
Train our internal team to operate the dashboard and respond to alerts.
Provide necessary documentation for the setup and any procedures related to it.
