Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network Firewall and Server Specialist to configure a firewall system and build/maintain high-performance servers. The primary objective of this role is to secure our network infrastructure and ensure smooth, fast operations for critical business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and set up a firewall system to prevent unauthorized access to our network.
- Secure various types of devices, including:
- Workstations and laptops
- Servers
- IoT devices
- Identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities by implementing proactive security measures.
- Build and maintain high-performance servers using high-end components for critical operations.
- Optimize servers for specific tasks, such as post-production workflows or other program-specific requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in network security, particularly configuring firewalls for small business environments.
- Knowledgeable in securing diverse devices, including workstations, servers, and IoT devices.
- Proficiency with the following hardware and technologies:
- Ubiquiti, Netgear, and Dell switches.
- Strong understanding of potential network vulnerabilities and how to address them.
- Experience working with high-end hardware and optimizing for speed and performance in mission-critical environments.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical details and provide documentation for setup and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in network security (e.g., CCNA, CISSP, or similar) are a plus.
- Experience in post-production or other high-performance computing environments is a significant advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
