Integrated IoT Home and NAS Configuration
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I'm seeking an experienced professional to create a robust IoT home setup that involves integrating various smart functionalities. With a preference for Wyze, Amazon Echo, and Blink?systems, I require the following:
- Incorporation of Wyze smart devices: lights, thermostats, and security cameras 10 currently on a cloud plan that is acceptable final touches and settings to set of notifications for sound from smoke detectors, which camera sets of package delivery, doorbell installation to take this over, one camera that notifies vehicles larger than a car to set of notification of Amazon van or UPS. Almost complete, the use ifft to utilize a non-branded device.
- Integration of Euify doorbell (prefer integration with cameras and not an additional fee for one device into the Wyze system, should also be able to be operated by Alexa like camera view or two-way conversation.
- Configuration of Blink or replacement brand battery-powered indoor cameras to function independently of the internet..
- Utilization of my NAS drive for easy accessibility to files saved from the home network accessible on the home network, wifi PC offsite, my private cloud, last and unsure from Apple devices connected to wifi
The primary purpose of my Network Attached Storage (NAS) setup is twofold - file storage/backup and media streaming/sharing.
In addition to hardware configuration, I am keen on having a setup for breadboarding and further experimentation.
Ideal candidates must have comprehensive experience with IoT smart homes - particularly Wyze and Amazon Echo gadgets - and extensive knowledge of network configuration and NAS systems. Familiarity with breadboarding will be seen as an advantage. The ability to understand and efficiently execute clients' specific requirements is essential.
1 Currently, pay an annual Fee for Wyze Cloud and remote access which is fine, The door bell camera is not integrated though.
2 Blink indoor camera recording should be recorded to their small drive doesn't work, interior cameras purposely do not want to be broadcast over the internet or blink's flawed cloud use, and internal storage firewalled off from external access is desired.
Not opposed to scrapping the Blink cameras with more expensive battery-operated cameras that still are networked offline and recorded on sight with the ability to easily narrow down a particular date and time via PC for the rare occasion and event within the home needs to be reviewed. Normally one would just wire up cameras to an NVR off-shelf system. I do not have the option of running Cat all over given I don't own. Open to suggestions and am willing to contact Blink to ask for the umpteenth time why the camera will not record to their small box with a USB stick in that never worked. Overall just cheap but only a handful of cameras are easily hidden and meant to protect main areas more for security in the event a false claim is made as to indoor meetings or checking on cleaning staff after the fact.

Raspberry Phi system setup for project learning and development, first with a breadboard to develop various IOT devices such as led light strip control as you ascend stairs, whole house energy monitoring via breakers first, per plug on some many items to break down how the lighting/receptacle circuits since there are only a few of those breakers major large appliances run off their own breaker and can be measured there to equal the total measured at the breaker, stepper motors to both lift heavy 2" wood blinds and also tilt them, various grow lights and environment for tropical lights in a dedicated room, and also control grow lights on high-value plants throughout the apartment. Would like to develop items that can be out of sight not just another rectangle covering a receptacle. Cat cables with one run that continually draw from 12v/24v stand source reduced voltage by tapping one wire, each tap with the appropriate reduced voltage and reaching 5 nearby cameras rather than having 5 cords running down the wall to USB plugs taking up every outlet around; that standard is always 5v3amp draw converted from 110v same as a cheap phone or older items not requiring fast charging. Ultimately energy tracking is all-inclusive including furnace, and AC so that the entire bill is accounted for via items and graphed on PC. Projects that are currently not available or do not play with each other, are controlled via an app developed for remote access along with voice control either through Alexa or Google.
