Hiring a hardware specialist to guide me in building a home server for VM + Video Encoding (NVENC with OBS) - $50
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
This project is simple:
- Help me build a server (by picking out the pieces, explaining the values in what, etc) in my home that will satisfy the tasks below
I'm very new to server building, but I have a decent knowledge of how everything works on a single machine.
What I'm doing:
- I plan on giving friends access to their own VM to stream to twitch.tv via OBS using NVENC
- I already have some beefy GPUs (RTX 5000, RTX 2080ti) and would like to know how many live streams I can encode
- I need help picking out a CPU,
- Lastly, I need help learning about how to virtualize the GPU so my VMs can utilize it
