Distributed switching networks
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Requirements:The network supports two VLANs: Lab and Support. The address-ranges for the VLANs are shown in the figure.
No routers can be used internally except for the R-Edge router, which connects the network to the internet.
You need to implement two-layers switching architecture with one switch at the distribution/core layer and three access switches. All the access switches support both VLANs.
There is only one IP address assigned to this network. R-Edge must use PAT to share it between all the devices in both VLANs.
You need to implement inter-VLAN routing. You can use either Layer-3 switching at the distribution switch, or Routing-on-a-stick at R-Edge.
