Job Overview: The Dispatch Engineer will provide technical support and services to clients by
addressing hardware, software, and network issues. They are responsible for promptly
responding to service requests, diagnosing technical problems, and implementing solutions
either remotely or on-site. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills,
excellent communication abilities, and be able to work in fast-paced environments with varying
technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
● Respond to service requests and dispatch to client sites as necessary for
troubleshooting and repair.
● Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across various
environments.
● Install, configure, and maintain hardware systems such as computers, servers, routers,
and printers.
● Provide support for network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN).
● Perform system upgrades and software installations, ensuring minimal disruption to
client operations.
● Maintain detailed records of service requests, resolutions, and any necessary follow-up
actions.
● Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of technical issues
and solutions.
● Collaborate with remote support teams to ensure timely and accurate problem
resolution.
● Assist in preventive maintenance, ensuring systems are regularly updated and backed
up.
● Stay current with industry trends, new technology, and best practices to improve
efficiency and service delivery.
Requirements:
● Proven experience in technical support, IT helpdesk, or as a field engineer.
● Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and hardware/software
troubleshooting.
● Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and common IT tools.
● Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
● Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
● Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites on short notice.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with both technical and
non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or similar.
● Previous experience with remote monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
● Experience in handling SLA-based service environments.
