REQUIREMENTS AND SERVICES
Smart Hands Services requirements are listed below but are not limited to
(a) As part of “Smart Hands Services”, Service Provider will provide touch support for the State Street devices and data centerequipment (e.g., servers, PSM, backup, storage, network devices). Providing hands and eyes support, inventory capture and logistics (ICL) support, shipping/receiving, data center hardware/parts cage management, asset tagging/barcoding, and disposal coordination.
(b) Service Provider will provide Smart Hands Services in accordance with the Service Levels in the SLA table and the clock starts from when the ticket is received by the supplier.
(c) Resources will utilize hot swaps (spares) under CUSTOMERguidance. Assist with engaging State Street approved hardware vendor through CUSTOMER for any hardware replacements, as needed by State Street, to facilitate restoration time. In case OEM vendor is required then they will escort them onsite and supervise as required and directed by CUSTOMER.
(d) As part of Smart Hands Services, Service Provider shall as be requested and directed by CUSTOMER perform the following activities (but not limited to) power cycle devices, cable patch cable replacement, route cabling through cabinets in structured way, cable path tracing and testing, manage spares inventory through agreed process, receive, and dispatch goods as requested, etc.:
Perform visual inspection of third-party equipment such as carrier or provider network equipment.
With CUSTOMER Data Centre SME to provide fault isolation and break/fix activities for the in-scope data centre equipment (servers,) and network devices (including network meters,)
Instruct CUSTOMER to engage third-party vendors who may be involved in diagnosing and correcting system related issues and assisting with solutions.
Under CUSTOMER SME supplier to Coordinate maintenance activities and outages triage with local and remote vendors.
Under CUSTOMER SME supplier to Rack, stack, install and decommission equipment and assets as requested
Under CUSTOMER SME supplier to Perform all network cable and jack testing.
Under CUSTOMER SME supplier to Perform all cable local patch panelling to devices as required.
Under CUSTOMER SME supplier to Provide after-hours support (during critical change activities) for critical network upgrades and maintenance
Under CUSTOMER SME supplier to Perform end-to-end network local patching from Patch panel to device.
Under CUSTOMER SME supplier to Participate in DR testing as requested by CUSTOMER
Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution, at intervals and timings as prescribed by CUSTOMER per call, which may vary by issue severity and platforms impacted as determined in CUSTOMER’s sole discretion.
Maintain ticket updates for all reported Incidents with the supplier and swivel desk to CUSTOMER.
Use diagnostic tools listed to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity. CUSTOMER SME will be available for help and direct from CUSTOMER.
Engineers would be expected to follow structured cabling best practice: E.g Cables must follow that same routing in cabinet as all other cables, Cables Should be labelled both ends as to the devices and ports they are connected too, Cables should be cable tied to other cables or cabinet to keep the rack tidy.
Experience of Network devices - hardware modules, SFP,Ports,Cables,powersupply replacement, fan assembly.
Cable replacement and tracing to help incident management.
Mailing, receiving, transmitting and RMA replacement.
Vendor and Telco meet - Escorting and helping the vendor field engineers.
Keeping CUSTOMER informed about local site activities, planned and unplanned.
Wireless AP- replacement if required
Console access to network devices / sharing screen with remote team members
Assist with the build of network devices with the help of L3 Network team
Apply network configuration
Any other activities requested
Apply convention practices when cabling Equipment and leverage cable management where available systems exist and provided available cables meet the length required
Engineer will package defective Equipment in the new Equipment packaging and affix the supplied return label to the box and leave it with the authorized local on-site representative or as otherwise agreed.
Remove all waste packaging to agreed onsite location and dispose of in the existing facilities.
Engineer informs Supplier service desk when all on-site Services activities have been completed as agreed with the Customer’s named site representatives
