Configure Openwrt router
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
The router must be configured to be an access point and have an internet connection.
Local network:
IP range: 10.20.23.xx
Accessible by wifi (DHCP) and ethernet port
Internet
Connection through wifi (second wifi-module) or, if there is no internet through wifi, a GSM module. So internet access will only go through the GSM module, when the WIFI module does not have a internet connection.
Hardware:
- Raspberry PI zero W
- USB/ethernet Hat (https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/ETH/USB_HUB_HAT)
- USB wifi
- USB gsm module (Huawei 4g Dongle E3372)
The hardware has been tested on the RPI with OpenWRT installed (https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/routers/e3372/).
- The GSM module has it's own webpage (192.168.8.1). From the local network this page must be accessible.
- When plugin in an USB device, a network device will get a name like eth0, eth1, wlan0, wlan1. The USB module and the USB name is not automatically persistent. The configuration must be made so that a USB device will always get the same name.
- firewall is working
- local network has DHCP
I don't expect you to have the hardware, so I will have to support you in testing the configuration.
