NAV/AL New Module Development

Job ID: 39854176

Budget: $2 – $8 CAD

I’m looking for a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics specialist who lives and breathes AL code to build a brand-new module inside our NAV / Business Central environment. This is pure custom development—no system integration or ongoing support pieces right now—so the focus will be on architecting, coding, and packaging the extension cleanly.

Here’s what I need:

• Analyse our current database and business flow and translate the agreed-upon requirements into a fully functional AL extension.
• Write well-structured AL code in Visual Studio Code, following Microsoft’s extension guidelines so we can publish the app in our on-prem server (and later in SaaS without refactoring).
• Prepare all objects—tables, pages, codeunits, permissions, and any necessary events/subscribers—within a separate, tidy range.
• Provide clear installation notes and a short hand-off session so my in-house team can deploy and test it confidently.

Source control is done in Git, and I’d like pull requests for each milestone so we can review the commits and run automated tests. You’ll have direct access to a sandbox plus sample data to validate the build as you go.

I’m happy to share functional specs on a quick kickoff call and will sign off each milestone once the compiled extension installs without errors and the agreed scenarios pass user testing.

If you have solid NAV C/AL experience but have already transitioned to AL and extensions, let’s connect—I’m ready to start immediately.
