Project Title:
Sentiment & Topic Analysis on Twitter and Reddit for 50 Company Events
Project Description:
Hi, I'm looking for a someone with experience in social media sentiment analysis and NLP to help with a research project.
What I Have:
A list of 50 companies, each with a specific event and its event date (Excel file provided).
What I Need:
Collect Twitter and Reddit posts related to each company and event from Day 0 to Day 15 after the event.
Analyze the daily sentiment using a scale from -1 to +1.
Perform topic modeling or keyword extraction to understand common themes discussed after the events.
Provide the total number of posts/comments analyzed per company and per platform.
Output data and results in Excel or CSV format, plus summary visualizations (line charts, bar plots, etc.).
Notes:
Prefer open-source tools (e.g., Tweepy, Pushshift, PRAW, VADER, BERT, etc.).
If APIs are required, I’m open to your guidance but prefer cost-free solutions if possible.
The analysis is for academic use (a thesis), so clarity and documentation are important.
