Mizo Audio Recording

Job ID: 40183537

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m looking for a native Mizo speaker who is currently living somewhere in Mizoram to help me capture a series of clear, natural one-on-one conversations. The work is audio-only, so no video or voice-over production is needed—just clean, well-balanced sound that reflects everyday speech.

Here’s the flow of the assignment: I’ll share a set of informal topics and a short brief on recording etiquette. You’ll then pair up with another fluent speaker, record yourselves chatting naturally, and send the uncompressed WAV files back to me. A quiet room, two separate microphones (or a stereo recorder on split channels), and roughly equal mic distance for both speakers are essential so I can isolate each voice later.

Deliverables
• At least one 2hrs raw WAV or FLAC file per conversation
• A simple text log noting date, location, first names (or initials) of the two participants, and main themes discussed
• Confirmation that both speakers consented to being recorded

I’ll review audio quality—background noise must be minimal and voices should peak below 0 dBFS with no clipping. Once I confirm the files meet the spec, the job is done.

If you’re already in Mizoram, speak Mizo natively, and can organize a quiet space and a partner, this should be straightforward. Feel free to message me with any questions about the setup or topics.
