Looking for Developer With Experience in Geospatial Data, Mapping, and Predictive Modeling

Job ID: 40038106

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m looking for an experienced developer (or team) who has worked with geospatial datasets and can build a web-based platform that analyzes data over large geographic areas, visualizes it on an interactive map, and runs prediction models on top of the data.

The exact problem details will be shared privately after shortlisting, but here is the skill background required:

What you should know:

Working with large geospatial datasets (raster and vector).
Integrating map layers into a web app (Leaflet, Mapbox, ArcGIS JS API, Google Maps API, etc.).
Processing environmental or infrastructure-related datasets.
Building backend pipelines to run calculations on selected map regions.
Creating simple machine learning or forecasting models (Python preferred).
Displaying results on a map with markers, color coding, and overlays.
Basic simulation or timeline playback on the UI.

What you will build:
A web interface that:

Shows an interactive map with custom layers.
Lets users select an area to run analysis.
Processes geospatial data for that area using backend logic.
Generates alerts or visual indicators based on computed results.
Runs prediction models to estimate changes over time.
Updates the map with predicted outcomes.

Tech Stack Preference:

Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
JS mapping frameworks
Experience with lidar, satellite imagery, or remote sensing is a plus
ML libraries like scikit-learn or basic neural networks
