Greek Speech Recognition Recording Task
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
We are looking for native Greek speakers to participate in a conversation recording task to support speech recognition technology development.
This is a remote, one-time freelance opportunity that can be completed using your smartphone or computer.
What You’ll Do
You will record natural, unscripted conversations in Greek with another participant using a designated mobile app.
Conversations should feel like a real phone call
Topics will be provided (daily life, travel, food, hobbies, etc.)
No acting or scripting — speech must be spontaneous and natural
Both participants must actively engage throughout the project
Participation
Apply with your own partner
Requirements
1)Native or fluent Greek speaker
2)Smartphone or computer with a working microphone
3)Stable internet connection
4)Ability to hold a natural conversation for an extended time
5)Quiet environment (no background noise or interruptions)
Important Guidelines
1)Conversations must be entirely in Greek (no mixing languages)
2)Do not read from scripts — recordings must be natural
3)Both speakers must be clearly audible at all times
4)Avoid long pauses, background noise, or overlapping speech
5)Stay within the provided topic
You will also be required to submit basic details for project documentation purposes.
Quality & Approval
1)All recordings go through a quality review process
2)Recordings may be rejected if they contain:
3)Background noise or poor audio quality
4)Non-Portuguese speech
5)Scripted or unnatural conversation
6)Missing or incorrect participant details
