n8n WhatsApp Payment Automation
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I need an end-to-end n8n workflow that keeps a Google Sheet and all my client WhatsApp conversations perfectly in sync, so I can stay on top of every payment without manual follow-ups.
How the flow should behave
• Every night n8n checks the Google Sheet, reads each client’s Payment Date column and compares it with today’s date.
• If a payment is due tomorrow, a WhatsApp Payment Reminder is sent automatically.
• If the date passes with no “Paid” status, a Late Payment Alert goes out and the fine is calculated—percentage or flat fee can live in a sheet cell that you read dynamically—then a Fines Notification is dispatched.
• When a client finally pays, the workflow updates Client Payment Status to “Paid” and logs the exact time in Client Communication Logs.
• Should a client ignore two consecutive alerts, n8n sends me (the manager) a WhatsApp message flagging the unacceptable delay, along with the full chat history for context.
Data handling in Google Sheets
The file already contains:
– Client Payment Status
– Payment Dates
– Client Communication Logs
Your job is to keep those three fields current and append new log lines every time a message is sent or received.
What I will consider a finished deliverable
1. An importable n8n JSON workflow (latest stable version) with all nodes and credentials clearly labelled.
2. A short README or Loom video that shows how to plug in my WhatsApp Business Cloud API (or other compliant gateway) keys and my Google credentials.
3. Proof the escalation logic works by running sample dates in a copy of the sheet.
If you have questions about message templates or the fines formula, just let me know—once this is humming, it will save me hours every week.
