n8n Automation Workflow Debugging & Optimization
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
We are experiencing multiple bugs and reliability issues within our existing n8n automation workflows and are looking for an experienced n8n Automation Developer to diagnose, fix, and stabilize the system.
The workflows are already built but require debugging, optimization, and cleanup to ensure consistent and error-free execution.
Current Issues
The project includes (but is not limited to) the following problems:
Workflows failing intermittently without clear error logs
Webhook triggers not firing consistently
API nodes returning unexpected or unhandled errors
AI-related nodes producing inconsistent or empty outputs
Data mapping issues between nodes (JSON structure mismatches)
Loops and conditional branches breaking workflow execution
Failed executions not retrying properly
Missing or incomplete error-handling paths
Performance slowdowns on larger datasets
Required Tasks
The selected developer will be responsible for:
Auditing existing n8n workflows to identify root causes
Fixing broken nodes, connections, and expressions
Improving error handling, retries, and fallbacks
Cleaning up data structures and mappings
Optimizing workflows for stability and performance
Testing workflows under real-world conditions
Documenting fixes and providing recommendations to prevent future issues
Technical Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with n8n
Deep understanding of webhooks, APIs, and authentication
Ability to debug complex branching and looping logic
Experience handling AI model integrations (OpenAI, media APIs, etc.)
Comfortable working inside an existing n8n environment
