Automate Invoice Workflow With n8n

I need an end-to-end n8n workflow that takes over the entire invoicing process for my business. Right now I’m entering every charge manually in what are essentially “spreadsheet-style” tables saved inside Word documents, then converting them to PDFs and emailing them by hand. It’s time-consuming, error-prone, and impossible to scale—especially because we issue both recurring and one-time invoices every month.

Here’s what I’m looking for the workflow to do:
• Pull the raw invoice data from my existing Word-based tables (I’m open to restructuring the data source if that makes the automation cleaner).
• Generate accurate invoices—recurring and ad-hoc—using a consistent template.
• Save each finished invoice as a PDF in a dated folder structure.
• Email or otherwise deliver the PDF to the correct client contact automatically.
• Log the status of each invoice (sent, delivered, failed, paid) in a trackable data store that I can review at any time.

I’m comfortable giving you direct access to an n8n cloud instance so you can build, test, and document the workflow there. The finished solution should be easy for me to tweak—add a new client, change a billing schedule, switch the data source to Google Sheets later if needed—without writing additional code.

Acceptance criteria
1. A single n8n workflow (or clearly modular sub-workflows) that runs without errors from data import through delivery.
2. PDFs match the supplied invoice template pixel-perfectly.
3. Each run generates a log I can open in n8n to see successes and any failures.
4. Clear, step-by-step hand-over notes or a short Loom video explaining how to update data sources, schedules, and email copy.
