Automate Google Sheets via n8n
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹5,000 INR
I want a streamlined n8n workflow that plugs straight into the Google Sheets API, removes the headache of manual data entry, keeps every row constantly updated, and then spins that raw data into clear, on-demand reports.
Here’s the flow I have in mind. New information arrives from our existing systems or external sources, n8n captures it, pushes it to the right sheet, checks for duplicates, and performs any needed transformations. On a defined schedule (or when triggered by certain events) the same workflow should build curated summary tabs or PDF/XLSX reports and drop them in a designated Google Drive folder or email them to stakeholders. Everything needs solid error handling, detailed logging, and an easy-to-read visual layout so my team can tweak it later without digging through code.
To make the hand-off smooth I’ll need:
• The complete n8n workflow file (.json) with clear node labels
• A short Loom or written walkthrough explaining key steps and environment variables
• A one-click import/export setup so the automation can be reproduced in staging and production
Considerations: native Google Sheets node is fine, but feel free to use HTTP Request nodes or Apps Script endpoints if that improves reliability or quota usage. The solution must respect current Google API limits and authenticate with OAuth2.
Once delivered I’ll test with live data. If entries post correctly, updates reflect within 30 seconds, and the reports match our sample layout, the job is done and we can discuss more integrations.
