Vinted Clone Development
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
The system will function similarly to the Vinted and Dolap applications.
As for the infrastructure, a custom software solution can be developed, or ready-made platforms like Sangvish or Migrateshop can be used. Necessary customizations can be made on these platforms.
The detailed operation of the system will be as follows:
Membership system: Users will register by verifying either their email address or phone number.
Different membership categories (e.g., elite member, founding member, etc.) can be added or removed through the admin panel.
Profile badge system based on membership type.
Follow system between buyers and sellers. After a sale is completed, both parties can rate and review each other.
If a seller cancels a sale, the system automatically assigns a 1-star rating and adds a predefined comment like “Order cancelled by seller” to their profile.
Buyers can only submit price offers for products (no private messaging).
Sellers can accept, reject, or counter the offer.
Commission rates can vary depending on the user group. For example, elite members may have different commission percentages for buying and selling (managed via the admin panel).
When listing a product, the seller can choose either “I’ll cover the commission” or “Buyer will cover the commission.”
Once a sale is made, the seller uploads final product photos before shipping to the system. These are sent to the buyer for approval. Once approved, the item is shipped and the transaction is completed.
In case of a return, the buyer uploads final photos of the item’s condition. If approved, the return process begins.
Commission rates are adjustable via the admin panel.
Buyers and sellers cannot directly message each other, but they can communicate through the product's comment section. Sellers can reply to buyers' comments.
Buyers and sellers can tag each other in product comments.
Every user (buyer or seller) will have a wallet account in the system. Once a sale is made, the payment is transferred to the seller’s wallet. Sellers can use the balance to purchase other products or request a bank transfer.
A daily list of sellers requesting bank transfers is shown in the admin panel. This list can be exported in Excel format, including name, amount, and IBAN info.
If the buyer's wallet balance is lower than the product price, they can pay the difference by credit/debit card.
Example: If the wallet has 300 TL and the product costs 450 TL, the remaining 150 TL is paid via card.
Sellers can pay extra to promote their products.
A smart listing system is required. Products shown on the homepage should be based on the user's search history.
For example, users searching for books should see more books on their homepage. If they search for women’s clothing, related products should appear.
Influencer sellers should exist. When a user follows a seller, that seller’s products should be shown on the user’s homepage.
The homepage should be divided into tabs/sections, such as “Recommended for You” or “From Sellers You Follow.”
An active notification system is required. Buyers can favorite products and wait for price drops. When the price drops, a notification is sent.
Users can follow their favorite categories and receive notifications when new products are added.
If there’s any update related to a product the user has made an offer on (offer accepted/rejected/countered/sold), a notification is sent.
When a user leaves a comment or rating on another user’s profile, the recipient is notified.
Notification settings can be managed. Users can choose which types of notifications they want to receive.
Sellers can define product features such as:
“Brand new,” “Second-hand,” “Lightly used,” “Shipping from seller,” “Original product,” “Size: S/M/L,” etc.
The admin can define product attributes specific to each category via the admin panel.
Example: “Edition number” for books can be added, but this wouldn’t apply to clothing. Every category should have its own custom fields.
Each product page should include sections like “Similar Products” and “Users who bought this also bought...”
A smart product ranking system is needed. If the system detects fake (non-original) products, they should appear lower in the search results.
These are the core requirements of the system. Most of these features already exist in platforms like Sangvish and Migrateshop.
Customizations can be made on these platforms, or a completely new software can be developed from scratch.
The main goal is to build a system similar to the “Dolap” app.
The application can be analyzed in detail for further inspiration and ideas.
