VOD Internal Ad Server Setup
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
In stead of ad stitching we have another way that we would like to setup our internal ad server for our test promo video for our current use case, and then later on internal ad inventory for companies.
Here is our situation: We have a few live app builds for our VOD streaming app CLICK and are completing our web versions in the next two weeks. We are a few months away from integrating ads with APS so we want to go ahead and connect a promo video for our app that we created as a test for being able to internally create our own add inventory on our own ad server which will be on our AWS account. In this way, we will be able to have and host our own internal ad inventory in addition to external ad inventories on APS. In order to run the test, we already have a Content Management System that currently has an HTML placeholder for a HTML VAST tag. It should already be working correctly as it triggers the video players to play the VAST tag according to the mid roll increments that we can type into the "Time Incremental mid-roll" placeholder in our CMS that has a separate page for each VOD movie that we edit on the CMS. We don't know how to code the XML file correctly but I have carefully review the VAST tag PDF and have an understanding of most of the code for VAST 4.0 and 4.2. I used the URL IAB tech lab validator tool and it does not work on my XML file or any of the test templates of other companies maybe since my company is not resisted in the database yet for IAB tech lab or the templates they offer have companies that are no longer registered or it could even by my VPN that I use stoping me from getting the vast tag validated. At any rate, we need to place the XML file in my S3 bucket form AWS and then make sure the cloud front to player and other connectivity is working correctly with the URL hosted VAST tag that we will place in our bucket once the tag XML is coded correctly. I also have a small developer team to help if we have any issues and I am also the Linux system admin for our AWS and I have the AWS customer support package that will allow us to address any technical issues with AWS if any occur. The test video is a simple HD 5 second video that we don't need to have in bundle form but rather H.264.mp4 file that is 5 seconds long. We only want HD and don't need HLS for the test, just use our HD H.264.mp4 transcoded file. Please let me know the price to code the XML and help integrate the test 5-second video and let me know if you have additional questions.
