Revamp Vintage osCommerce Store

I run an online shop specialising in vintage-style menswear and the site is built on an older version of osCommerce. It’s time for a fresh look and smoother user journey, but I want to keep the platform rather than migrate.

Scope of work
• Refresh the full site—homepage, product pages and checkout—so the design feels period-inspired yet modern, mobile-friendly and fast.
• Apply a new colour scheme and re-work the layout to make navigation intuitive and visually consistent.
• Replace dated product images with high-quality photos and let each item host short videos for fit or styling demos.
• Add a “Gift this item” option directly on product pages (with gift message and wrapping choices).
• Upgrade payment systems to the latest secure gateways supported by osCommerce, ensuring PCI compliance.
• Thoroughly test every flow—from browsing through payment confirmation—to catch display issues, broken links or abandoned-cart drop-offs.

I will supply branding assets, sample imagery and access to the current codebase. Please be comfortable working inside osCommerce, PHP and MySQL, and outline any sub-modules or add-ons you recommend before implementation. A concise progress plan, staging server for reviews and clear hand-over notes at completion are essential.
