Racket Stringing Service Workflow Development
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I'm seeking a developer to create an efficient workflow for my tennis and badminton shop's stringing service. Customers can deliver their broken rackets either personally or via DHL. The system should guide customers through the ordering process and capture essential details such as:
- Customer contact information
- Racket specifications
- Preferred string tension
The solution should also feature a database where all data is stored, allowing me, the shop owner, to monitor requests and add information to each. Customers should be able to access their order history. Each racket will be assigned a unique number and should be scannable via a QR code.

We were thinking of a web-based solution with a MySQL database, but solution proposals can also include other options such as an app, cloud-based files, etc. Please mention any additional external costs (e.g. licenses) which might apply.
Additional requirements: - Solution should be accessible from different devices (smartphone, computer, tablet) - User-friendliness is key - Design should be appropriate for customers (a logo of the shop should be included) - Fluency in English of the developer is mandatory
Functionalities:
The customer is first asked whether they have already strung a racquet with us and whether it is stored in our database. If yes, the customer can enter the number or scan the corresponding QR code. If not, the customer should enter the racket data (type of sport, player's name, manufacturer, model). The data for string and string hardness depends on the selected sport. The customer can also select extras from a pre-selected list (e.g. grip tape). After entering the racket data and the desired stringing and extras, the customer is asked whether he would like to add another racket. If yes, the process described above starts again. If not, the customer is asked whether they would like to return the rackets on site or send them by parcel post.
In the case of on-site delivery, the customer has the option of choosing between a normal time window in which the customer wants to pick up the racket again, or to book an express restringing within a specified time window. In both cases, the customer should be able to choose in a calendar. The time slots for express stringing should be specified by the hour within a time frame. The checkout includes a summary and an overview of the costs incurred. Various payment options can be selected. The customer receives a confirmation by e-mail.
For the parcel delivery option, the customer must enter their address details. A calendar will then open with the desired completion date. The date is calculated based on the estimated delivery time and is confirmed by the store owner. At checkout, the customer also receives a summary and an overview of the costs incurred. The customer then has the option of choosing between different payment terms. After making the selection, the customer should see the DHL postage label, which they can print out and stick on the parcel. An interface to the store owner's business account must be set up. The customer receives a summary by e-mail.
The store owner has full access to the process via admin access. Data entered by the customer can be adjusted. The store owner can also add racks manually for on-site submissions.
Optional requirements (please indicate impact on price if they should become mandatory): - The owner should easily be able to add additional users to predefined roles (e.g. second admin, new customer - New entries can be entered by a guest account who has no viewing rights - Data entry: If an existing customer has been selected with an existing racket, the input for some fields will be pre-defined from his last service request of this racket (e.g. e-mail address, special requests, ...) but the admin / agent can edit this information if desired during the data entry - Some fields (e.g. racket names) will have a drop down which shows all already entered values for this field (i.e. racket names which were already used by alphabet, like a database for the rackets)
