Optimize MySQL Table for Efficient Inserts

I've been facing issues with a MySQL table that seems to be taking up too much space in my database, despite there being no data in it. The table is almost 2MB in size while it has no rows at all. The database was originally like 50kb a few weeks ago. Recently we made some minor changes, like adding index. Then it suddenly become so huge.
