I'm seeking a professional with expertise in setting up and managing MySQL databases in a multicluster replication using Galera. While the goal is to enhance system performance and ensure high availability, it's crucial that the hired professional has:
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with MySQL databases and Galera Cluster.
• Expertise in database architecture and scaling strategies.
• Capabilities to optimize configurations for best performance.
• Precise troubleshooting skills and quick problem resolution abilities.
To provide more context about the project:
• We're planning to utilize the multicluster functionality.
• Our database size is in the small range, i.e. a few gigabytes.
Potential freelancers need to demonstrate their prior work in MySQL and Galera, preferably in a multicluster environment. Having a solid background in database administration, particularly for performance improvement and high availability, will be a huge advantage in this project.
Please note there will be a primary cluster for data RW and secondary clusters will be read only. Any cluster can be promoted to Primary. This functionality is key
