Multilingual E-Commerce Engine for India
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I am seeking experienced developers to build India's pioneering multilingual e-commerce engine. This project focuses on creating an intuitive Regional Language E-Commerce Experience Layer that supports product search, navigation, and checkout in 8+ Indian languages, as well as voice search in these native tongues.
Key Features:
- Smart AI integration to auto-detect a user's preferred language and switch instantly.
- Cultural customization that reflects regional slang, tone, and festive themes based on location and calendar.
- Aesthetic rendering of regional scripts, moving beyond simple translation.
On the backend, we need a robust language AI engine. This would involve:
- Training with models like spaCy, IndicNLP, BERT + LoRA on low-resource languages.
- Prioritizing understanding of user-intent, context, and sentiment over literal translation.
- Eventually providing an API or SDK for major e-commerce platforms such as Flipkart, Amazon, Meesho, Udaan, etc.
The ideal candidate for this project should have:
- Proven experience in e-commerce platform development.
- Strong AI and language processing skills.
- Ability to create culturally aware and adaptive software.
- Knowledge of low-resource languages and how to train models for them.
This project is both a challenge and an opportunity to shape the future of e-commerce in India. It will initially target Web, iOS, and Android platforms, with a primary focus on enhancing product search.
