Project Overview
The SaaS-based service will provide a centralized platform for listing and monitoring IT infrastructure maintenance and outage notifications. The system will allow authorized users to create and manage maintenance notifications, while subscribers can view, track, and receive updates on outages and scheduled maintenance.
Key Features
1. User Roles & Authentication
• Admin: Full access to manage maintenance notifications, users, and system settings.
• Editor: Can create, update, and delete maintenance notifications.
• Viewer: Can subscribe to receive notifications via email and view the maintenance history.
• Authentication: Users must sign in to create or manage notifications (Admin/Editor). Viewers need to subscribe with their email to receive updates.
2. Maintenance Notifications
• Listing: Display upcoming, ongoing, and past maintenance events.
• Categories: Support different types of maintenance (server, application, internet, etc.).
• Details: Start time, end time, affected services, impact level, and description.
• Status Updates: Ability to update the status of an ongoing maintenance event.
• Search & Filters: Users can search by service type, date range, or status.
3. Email Notifications
• Automatic email updates to subscribed viewers about new, ongoing, or resolved maintenance.
• Admins and Editors can send custom email updates.
4. Subscription Management
• Viewers can subscribe and unsubscribe using their email.
• Confirmation email upon subscription.
5. Dashboard
• Overview of upcoming, ongoing, and past maintenance.
• Quick access to create new maintenance events.
• Summary reports of recent activities and notifications.
6. Security & Access Control
• Role-based access control (RBAC) to manage user permissions.
