Backend Development for Reids IT Solutions - API Integration for Partner Offerings

Reids IT Solutions is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and consulting company aiming to offer a unified platform for our customers by integrating various partner offerings into a single, seamless solution. We’re seeking a skilled backend developer (or team) to build an API-driven backend that combines these partner services, allowing our customers to access a complete suite of IT solutions under one roof.
Project Scope: The ideal candidate will be able to:
API Integration: Develop integrations with our partners’ APIs to access and manage their services, ensuring compatibility and reliability.
Centralized Backend Design: Build a modular, microservices-based backend architecture that efficiently handles multiple API calls and consolidates partner offerings.
Unified Dashboard for Customers: Design a REST API that supports a customer dashboard, where users can log in, access partner services, manage their subscriptions, and view usage metrics.
Authentication & Authorization: Implement OAuth2 or similar protocols to securely authenticate users and authorize access across integrated services.
Billing & Subscription Management: Develop a unified billing system that aggregates charges across services, manages subscription tiers, and generates invoices.
Error Handling & Monitoring: Set up error handling, logging, and monitoring to ensure high availability and performance.
Security & Data Protection: Implement strong security protocols, including data encryption, regular audits, and API abuse monitoring.
Technical Requirements:
Backend Frameworks: Node.js (Express), Django, or FastAPI
Database: PostgreSQL or MongoDB
API Gateway: Preferably Kong or Amazon API Gateway for routing and access management
Cloud Hosting: AWS, Google Cloud, or similar for scalable and reliable hosting
Frontend Compatibility: Ensure backend supports frontend frameworks like React or Angular
Experience Required:
Proven experience in API integration and backend development, especially for SaaS or MSP solutions
Familiarity with microservices architecture and scalable backend design
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and API gateways
Strong knowledge of security best practices and data protection
Excellent communication skills to ensure project milestones are met and challenges are addressed proactively
Budget & Timeline:
Budget: Negotiable based on experience and estimated timeline.
Timeline: We aim to launch this platform as soon as possible, ideally within 3-6 months.
