music plugging

I'm a life long music artist with a modest catalogue on media platforms.... get about 400,000 streams and downloads a year. I want to experiment with a new single, with hiring a gifted and experienced promoter to plug the track, which will be up on platforms within a week. I will want to work with the plugger to tap into most effective areas...genre appropriate radio stations, etc...
