can't play the piano with mittens on my hands.

When my god sone was a baby, I made up a short ditty about mittens. Its really very short, but I would like to expand the lyrics and create the music for it. I have some knowledge of musci composition but that is over 20 years old. the last time i composed or arranged a peice was back in 1989. the last time i Jamed was with my kids in 1996. So this is beyond me right now. I need help with it. The key phrase is: " momma, I can't play the piano with mittens on my hands."(c) This came up as a song because young JJ became interested at the age of 6 months in banging on the piano. But alas, he kept scratching his face with his finger nails causing his face to get infected. So mama put mittens on his hands. He still tried banging the piano, but as you might guess, the mittens changed the whole sound. needless to say he was not happy.
