Play My Music (Piano) & Give Me Feedback
Budget: $15 – $25 CAD
I've been making music on and off since I was a teenager, but it was always pure trial and error. I had no musical training or knowledge. So that didn't really go anywhere.
A couple of years ago though, I began to learn music theory and how to play an instrument, so I could do more than just randomly click things in fruityloops. Since then I've been slowly working on building up a bunch of songs and experimentations. Unfortunately though, my ability to play the stuff I make lags behind significantly, and even if it didn't the time it takes me to learn a song at this stage is much longer than it takes me to make one....that's where you come in....
I want you to play some of the songs I have written and to provide me feedback on them from your perspective as a musician, this will involve:
1. Telling me if there are any issues playing the songs, physically speaking. I compose primarily electronically, so sometimes I put things together that are not physically possible;
2. Giving me feedback on if it is enjoyable to play (did you have fun, or did you want to slap me?);
3. Giving me feedback on what you liked/didnt like
Eventually, if we develop a good relationship, I will need someone to record the songs so I can publish them played by a human instead of a computer. That could be you. I am open to a variety of arrangements for this. I don't have the skills, and I also don't want to be the one playing my songs since I need input and feedback from others.
It is still very early is my music career so I'm not aiming for perfection, but I am aiming for improvement. This is important because I will likely be more ignorant than most musicians you work with (especially long term professionals). My goals are also different too so bear this in mind when bidding please. I am very independent and don't need hand holding through the process - but I may need explanations.
As well - I like to mess around with weird stuff. Not graphical notation weird (lol), but slightly unusual approaches is all.
The songs in question can be found in Spotify under the Album 'Experiencements' by 'Fruity Viscount'. I can provide scores to all songs in question. I realize some are not piano, ignore those.
