Grammy Nominated Band Looking for a New Music Manager
Budget: $50,000 – $0 USD
My name is Michael Gungor, and I have a band called "Gungor." We had four grammy nominations, and a vibrant touring career for several years in (or at least adjacent to) the Christian music industry. Then I went through a public deconstruction of my faith, and lost a lot of industry support. After a few years of frustration of being too associated with the Christian music industry in the past for the mainstream market and not being Christian enough for the Christian music industry, we decided a few years ago to retire the band and pursue some other musical endeavors. Since then, we (along with the rest of the world!) has changed a lot, and we've decided to launch a new Gungor record again. We're calling it a "Zen Gospel" record. The record is almost done, and we are feeling really good about it. What we're not feeling great about though is the business/management side of things as we move into this next chapter of relaunching the band. We don't really have a team to speak of anymore, and I'm concerned this music will not find a home with the people who I think would love it unless we find someone who can help us with the more practical sides of running a music business. Looking for someone who appreciates an artist's need to constantly reinvent themselves while at the same time having the ability to bring some stability and consistency to the business side of things that do not tend to thrive and grow under the same fluid conditions as the music itself might. :-).
