Arrange a electronica song in MIDI
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
We need a predominantly electronic/synth song arranged and written in MIDI ready to be mixed (mixing and mastering not required from you) by a given date for use for educational purposes.
We are letting things be stylistically open (but do have reference tracks in mind to spur your imagination), but technically limited.
Delivery is expected on February 5th, 2022 at 5 a.m. UTC.
The track should:
- be from 2:30 to ideally 3 minutes in length
- be structured with at least an intro and an outro but optionally including at least one chours/drop/..
- be layered as much as possible
- be written in MIDI using Xer Records
- be designed exclusively with the Xfer Records Serum VST instrument or custom-made sampler instruments using Native Instruments KONTAKT or DAW's integrated sampler solutions (Nuendo/Cubase Sampler Tracks).
Deliverables are:
- ideally, a Steinberg Cubase/Steinberg Nuendo monolith project file with all VSTI presets and sounds
or
- all Xfer Records Serum presets as exported preset files
- sampler audio files
- tracks exported as well labeled .mid files
Reference tracks include:
- Bowls by Caribou (released 2010 on Swim by City Slang)
- Hot House by Cyclist (released 2015 on Music/Is/For/Loosers)
The deadline is non-negotiable. This is a one time project for educational purposes: the arrangement will be mixed in class and not released publicly, but another mix does not permit me to do it myself. You absolutely retain copyright (therefore, possiblities to afterwards).
