Enter Music from PDF Scores into Notation Software (First-Draft Engraving)
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I am seeking a skilled music copyist or engraver to input music from two PDF scores into standard music notation software. The composers whose work I’m publishing have lost their original digital files, so this job involves re-entering the music—not editing an existing file.
You may use Dorico, Finale, Sibelius, MuseScore, or any other modern software package. While my company uses Dorico, I’m happy to receive the files in another program if you can provide a clean MusicXML export.
Scope of this project: Score 1 contains five pages, four parts, four systems per page, 104 measures. Score 2 contains 20 pages, four parts, two systems per page, and 182 measures. Neither score contains any tuplets except for triplets. One measure in one of the scores uses alternate note heads.
I will require a signed agreement that includes IP protection and non-disclosure agreement.
Deliverables:
First-draft, readable engraving of two scores (each in four parts)
Accurately input notes, rhythms, dynamics, tempo markings, and text directions
MusicXML export (if not working in Dorico)
Important Notes:
No advanced engraving required—this is not a final layout for publication.
My in-house team will handle formatting, spacing, and visual polish.
This is a note-entry and musical information task, not a design or production job.
