Project: Mixing Raw Vocals into Release-Ready Track

Mixing Engineer Request – Song: “FUCK YOU”
Vocal Expertise
Proven experience mixing powerful, raw vocals that cut through heavy instrumentals.
Skilled at balancing aggression with clarity – think System of a Down or Rage Against the Machine, but also able to bring in softer/ethereal textures.
Ability to make vocals sit on top of the mix when needed, yet still blend seamlessly with instrumentation.
Comfort working with comped vocal takes (multiple clips combined into one).
Sonic Range & Atmosphere
Must understand how to create ethereal soundscapes – airy, spacious textures, reverb/delay layers that enhance emotion without washing out clarity.
Ability to craft crowd/chant vocal effects that sound full and immersive (like a live protest or ritual chant).
Genre Understanding
Familiarity with heavy, politically charged, and emotionally intense rock/metal/rap hybrids.
Must appreciate dynamics – quiet, intimate moments vs. explosive, wall-of-sound energy.
Technical Focus
Strictly a mixing engineer – not someone who primarily markets themselves as both mixing and mastering. (I will be sending the track to a separate mastering engineer after mixing.)
Strong track record of delivering polished, punchy, mix-ready files.
Able to provide multiple stems/final bounces as needed (radio edit, explicit, performance/instrumental versions).
Communication & Workflow
Open to feedback and revisions, collaborative rather than rigid.
Comfortable with remote workflow – must be responsive, communicative, and organized with file delivery.
Portfolio of past work required, preferably with similar genres (metal, alt-rock, experimental, or heavy crossover projects).
Project Details
Song: “FUCK YOU” – an intense, ritualistic anthem blending rock, metal, and ethereal elements.
Goal: Transform raw vocal recordings + instrumentals into a professional, release-ready mix that is visceral, emotionally gripping, and powerful enough to hit both headphones and live crowd systems.
Will need a karaoke version including the backing vocals, as well as the regular version. Included an MP3 Version. This is work for hire. Song is already copyrighted.
