Migrate Mac Music Libraries
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have a 2012 MacBook Pro packed with orchestral and synth libraries—Spitfire, Arturia, Native Instruments, and smaller collections. They need to live on a fast external SSD and be fully operational on my new MBP M1 running “Tahoa 26.5.1”.
What I need done
• Copy every library, preset folder, and related licence file from the old machine to the SSD without breaking existing paths.
• Install and authorise each library and plug-in on the M1 (Native Access, Arturia Software Center, Spitfire App, etc.) so they appear in Logic Pro and Ableton with no missing samples.
• Verify that AU/VST3 scans pass and that basic test projects load correctly.
I’m unsure whether any hidden configuration files or custom settings were added over the years, so part of the job is to identify anything beyond the defaults that should come across.
Acceptance
A short video-capture or screenshare at the end showing at least one Spitfire instrument, one Arturia synth, and one Kontakt library loading from the SSD on the M1 without error will confirm the work.
