Collaborative Composer for Family Musical
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
'm looking for an experienced composer to collaborate on an original family musical.
The script and lyrics are complete. I'm now looking for someone to compose memorable, engaging music that will appeal to primary school audiences while being enjoyable for older performers and audiences as well.
The musical is approximately 50 minutes long and contains 10 original songs in a fun, contemporary musical theatre style. Think catchy melodies, strong character songs, humour, heart, and memorable ensemble numbers.
I'm looking for someone who:
Has experience composing for musical theatre or children's theatre.
Can create piano/vocal scores and chord charts.
Is happy to collaborate creatively rather than simply set lyrics to music.
Can provide high-quality backing tracks and/or full orchestrations (preferred but not essential).
Understands writing for school productions and community theatre.
I'm open to discussing either a commissioned fee, a royalty-sharing arrangement, or a combination of both, depending on experience and the right creative fit
