Cartoonish Nature-Building Mural
Budget: $20,000 – $50,000 AUD
I’m reaching out on behalf of our community group in the Goulburn Valley (Toolamba VIC) regarding a proposed public art project, and we’re currently seeking an artist to collaborate with us.
We are planning to commission a mural on our local railway signalling hut, with the aim of creating a visually engaging piece that reflects the character, history, and identity of our community. This project has been in early discussions with VicTrack, and we are now progressing toward formal approvals, which will require support from our local council as well as permission from V/Line.
As part of this process, we are required to submit a proposal that includes:
* A concept design or preliminary artwork
* An estimated project cost (including materials and labour)
* A general outline of the proposed timeline
* Considerations for durability and ongoing maintenance
We are hoping to work with an artist who has experience in large-scale or outdoor mural work and an interest in community-focused projects. We would welcome your creative input into the concept and design direction, ideally incorporating elements that are meaningful to the local area.
At this stage, we are also exploring funding opportunities, including community fundraising and potential grants, and your input will help us shape a strong and viable proposal.
