Move Heavy Pilates Reformer Downstairs

The job is to relocate my fully-assembled Pilates reformer from an upstairs bedroom to the room directly below. The stairwell includes a couple of very tight corners, so the move will require careful planning, proper lifting technique, and possibly a shoulder-dolly or similar strap system.

I can’t confirm whether my blankets and floor runners are adequate, so I’ll rely on your advice about padding walls, railings, and hardwood floors before we start. Once the reformer is safely positioned downstairs, the space must be left clean and undamaged—no scratches on paint, trim, or flooring.

Acceptance is simple: the reformer stands level in its new spot, every wall and floor surface along the route remains pristine, and all protective materials are removed when finished.
