AC-DC Asymmetric Converter Build

Job ID: 40327688

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need a complete, ready-to-plug-and-play asymmetric AC-to-DC converter for an 8/6 switched-reluctance motor rated at 220 V, 4 A, 500 W. The design must incorporate an LA55P current sensor and include built-in overcurrent protection.

Scope of work
• Electrical design of the asymmetric bridge (IGBT or MOSFET based) sized for the stated voltage and current.
• Integration of the LA55P Hall-effect sensor per phase if that proves more accurate) with clearly broken-out signals that I can feed into my FCS-MPC control board later.
• Protection circuitry that trips safely on programmed overcurrent thresholds without nuisance shut-downs.
• Complete documentation: schematics, PCB Gerbers, annotated BOM with supplier links, and concise assembly guidelines.
• Fully programmed gate-drive logic or firmware so the unit arrives ready for immediate motor connection and testing on 50 Hz mains.

Acceptance criteria
1. Stable output under nominal 4 A load for at least 30 minutes with ≤ 5 °C temperature rise on critical semiconductors.
2. Accurate current feedback from the LA55P within ±3 %.
3. Overcurrent latch activates within 5 µs when load spikes to 6 A and resets predictably after power-cycle.
4. All files compile or manufacture without modification; boards fit the supplied mechanical outline.

If you have previous SRM drive experience or have worked with FCS-MPC controls, please highlight it when you reply so we can move quickly into layout and prototype build.
