5-Second Social Feature Teaser
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need a five-second video that introduces the new dark mode of our e-commerce site. The look should stay modern and sleek while still sneaking in a hint of Halloween—think polished motion graphics with a playful twist rather than cartoonish gimmicks. This is timely with Halloween around the corner and Stranger Things trending.
Here’s the creative direction I have in mind:
• Visual flow: My vision is to have a desktop monitor or laptop on our website, during the day, and have the desk rotate at the bottom of the frame to the upside down, which is the same desk but it's now night time, and has the website in dark mode. The rotation would start with some jitter/rough effect, and maybe speed up with an increasing sound effect similar to the old THX intros, with the dark mode side ending with something like that waaaa that we all loved seeing in theatres, with some powerful/maybe creepy feel to it.
• Tools: I use Adobe Creative Cloud, and ideal candidate will use the same, allowing easy hand off the working files as well as the final compressed MP4.
The finished piece will run across our social channels, so delivered in a square or vertical format and keep file size social-ready without sacrificing clarity.
