Cinematic Video Editor for Tech Evolution Clip

Job ID: 39976051

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

We’re hiring video editors and motion designers to join our in-house content team.
Before finalizing, we’d like to understand creative sensibility and storytelling alignment through a
short unpaid assignment.
We will only use your work if we decide to go ahead with you.
We highly recommend reading about our company in the attached PDF to understand why we’re
particular about our ask.
It would also help to explore Figure.ai, Dexterity, and Terranova — companies working in a
similar frontier space.
Objective
Create a 10–20 second cinematic clip that visualizes the evolution of technology and the need
to rethink how we build.
Core Message
We’ve reinvented everything through technology —
from sowing crops by hand to harvesting by machines,
from weaving threads to mechanized looms,
from horse buggies to jets breaking sound barriers —
but we still build things the same way.
Your video should end with the feeling:
It’s time to change how we build.
Creative Direction
● Format: 16:9 (web use)
● Tone: Retro-futuristic, cinematic, energetic
● Reference: Zack Snyder’s DC visual tone — dramatic contrast, rich color, clean motion
● Structure: Juxtapose “old” and “new” in quick, alternating cuts
● Slow, grainy, muted tones → vivid, dynamic, and high-energy transitions
● Audio: Optional — the message should be clear even without sound
You can use stock footage, AI visuals, or your own material — this is about taste, narrative
feel, and visual rhythm, not production scale.
What We’re Really Looking For
We want to see if you can translate an idea into emotion — if you can make 10 seconds feel like
a story.
It’s less about flashy effects/animations and more about how you frame the contrast, how you
pace transitions, and how you make the viewer feel that shift from old to new.
We value editors who can find meaning in movement, silence, and tone — people who can
express an idea visually rather than just cut clips together. If your video makes us pause for a
second and think “that’s the feeling”, you’ve nailed it.
Deliverables
● Final 10–20s video file
● A short note (2–3 lines) explaining your visual or emotional approach
Evaluation Criteria
We’ll review based on:
● Visual storytelling strength
● Creativity and aesthetic choices
● Clarity of message
● Attention to pacing and tone
This test helps us understand your creative voice and fit for our brand.
