Cinematic Kickstarter Campaign Video Creation
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am launching a Kickstarter campaign for my book Dear Edgar: A Renewed Humanism — a global call for hope, complexity, and moral imagination, featuring an extraordinary preface by renowned philosopher Edgar Morin.
The campaign video will be 1:20–1:30 minutes long, powerful, cinematic, and emotionally engaging — the kind of content that makes people want to join the movement.
I need this done today!!!!!!!!!!
You will work with:
My professionally recorded voice track (first-person narration)
A curated selection of high-quality photographs (from my travels and events)
Brand assets and presentation slides (PDF presentation, book cover, World Humanism Forum visuals)
What I’m Looking For:
A creative storyteller and expert video editor who can bring my vision to life — not just follow instructions, but enhance them with their own creative judgment. You should be able to weave visuals, pacing, and subtle motion graphics into a compelling narrative arc that keeps the viewer emotionally engaged until the final second.
Responsibilities:
Listen closely to the voice track and design a visual flow that matches the pacing, tone, and emotional beats.
Select and sequence provided photos, adding smooth transitions, pans, zooms, and light animations where needed to maintain viewer engagement.
Integrate text overlays for key phrases (aligned with Kickstarter best practices — short, impactful captions).
Add subtle motion graphics and tasteful effects that elevate the production without distracting from the message.
Synchronize visuals perfectly with the narration.
Deliver a Kickstarter-ready export in 1080p (and 4K if possible) optimized for online playback.
Requirements:
Proven experience creating short, emotionally resonant videos for campaigns, causes, books, or events.
Mastery of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or equivalent professional software.
Strong sense of storytelling, rhythm, and audience engagement.
Ability to work with existing assets (voice, photos, slides) and enhance them with creative editing.
Excellent communication and openness to feedback.
Bonus Points For:
Experience editing Kickstarter or crowdfunding campaign videos.
Understanding of humanitarian, cultural, or philosophical themes.
Skills in light color grading to unify visuals.
Access to quality stock footage that could complement my photos (faces, nature, cities).
Deliverables:
Final 1:20–1:30 Kickstarter video in MP4 format (1080p + 4K if possible).
Separate file with hardcoded subtitles for accessibility.
All project files (.prproj / .aep or equivalent).
Tone & Style Reference:
Cinematic yet intimate — feels global, but personal.
Warm, inspiring, and intelligent — like a TED talk meets a film trailer.
Balanced pacing: no rushed cuts, no dead moments.
If you can turn my narration and photographs into a short film that moves people’s hearts and inspires them to support a cause, I want to work with you.
When applying, please:
Share 2–3 of your best short videos that match this tone.
Briefly describe how you would approach this project.
Mention your expected turnaround time.
