Update to our existing Moodle online learning platform
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
We are looking to upgrade our existing Moodle online learning platform. We have a very good idea of the look and feel that we want but we are interested in your ideas too.
What the project involves:
1. Install latest version of Moodle
2. Update UI
3. Provide a list of plugins:
• plugins currently subscribed to
• plugins needed (including existing and new plugins)
• plugins to be unsubscribed
4. Install latest versions of all plugins needed
5. For all courses hide/delete:
• Participants
• Badges
• Competencies
6. For all courses add 3 blocks
7. For all courses add roughly 26 files/YouTube links to the blocks
8. Change blocks layout for 11 courses
9. Set up 6 separate settings panels for workflows for automated emails, must not be hardcoded
10. CSV generation with start date and end date so we can run automated reports
11. Install plagiarism tool
If you want to work on our project, you should know how we prefer to work:
1. You must speak English well so that we can communicate properly.
2. Don’t send me a generic copy and pasted cover letter. Apply with something that lets me know you have read and understand the job post and tell me why you’d be the best fit out of the dozens of applicants I will get.
3. Don’t post a stupidly low price just to get us to chat with you when your quote is going to be much higher, we do not appreciate business practices like that.
4. Don’t contact us saying you are interested in our project and then not respond to our messages for days; it looks as if you are not reliable and we will not want to work with you.
5. Don't ask what our budget is. We are talking with several freelancers to find the best price so give us your best price, otherwise you will lose out on the job.
6. The job is a flat rate; don't try to negotiate an hourly rate.
7. We will want to see examples of your previous work and we will expect you to provide us with test access into a Moodle system so we can see what your work is like. Don’t try to avoid this by saying you have signed NDAs – every developer keeps access to their work for their portfolio.
8. If you send us links to Moodle platforms that you have worked on, make sure that the links are current and work, otherwise you don’t look very professional.
9. We will negotiate the project start dates and milestones with you and once you agree to these, we will expect you to meet the deadlines (within reason). Failure to do so will result in us cancelling our work with you.
Let us know if you would like to quote on the project AND you can meet the above requirements.
Thanks
