New Moodle Setup, Shared Hosting
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need a consultant to carry out a brand-new Moodle installation that will live on a shared hosting plan. Because I haven’t settled on a provider yet, please recommend a reliable shared hosting provider that meets current Moodle requirements (PHP 8.x, MariaDB/MySQL, SSL, cron access, and sufficient I/O resources to keep the platform responsive). Once the host is chosen and the account is active, you will:
• Install the latest stable Moodle release in the root of the domain or a sub-folder I specify
• Create and secure the database, configure cron, and enable HTTPS
• Apply basic performance and security settings suitable for shared hosting (cache configuration, scheduled backups, strong password policy)
• Give me a brief, plain-English hand-over document showing how to reach the admin area, update plugins, and run backups
Successful delivery means I can log in as admin, create a course, and watch cron complete without errors. Also, a user can select a course, pay for it, and take it. Please ensure everything is WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformant.
If you’ve done similar shared-hosting Moodle deployments before, tell me which hosts you’ve found the most dependable.
