Moodle Plugin – “Remedial Quiz” for Incorrectly Answered Questions
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Project Description:
I need a Moodle plugin (version 4.1) that, for each logged-in user, automatically generates a new quiz containing only those questions they previously answered incorrectly.
Scope of Work:
Identify Wrong Answers
For a chosen quiz (or all quizzes in a course), detect questions where the user’s attempt state is gradedwrong.
Create a Remedial Quiz
Automatically create a new quiz instance in the same course and add those questions only.
Configure basic quiz settings: custom name/description, no password, no time limit, one question per page.
Ensure the remedial quiz is visible only to the individual user (not to other students).
User Interface
Provide a simple link or button in the course (“Review Incorrect Questions”).
When clicked, the plugin generates the remedial quiz and redirects the user immediately to start it.
Optional: limit each user to one remedial quiz instance or overwrite previous attempts.
Permissions & Security
Only authenticated users enrolled in the course can generate their own remedial quiz.
Generated quizzes must be hidden from or non-editable by other course participants.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience developing Moodle plugins (especially local plugins or module customizations).
Strong familiarity with Moodle’s API and database schema
Proficient in PHP, SQL (handling dml_exception), and basic HTML.
Ability to debug Moodle code and clear cache properly.
Deliverables:
A ZIP package local/remedialquiz ready for installation.
A brief installation guide: how to install the plugin, add the UI link in the course, and test functionality.
Code free of PHP/SQL errors and Moodle warnings.
Timeline & Budget:
Please provide your estimated time to completion and a cost proposal.
Ideal delivery within 1–2 weeks of project acceptance.
Thank you—I look forward to your proposals!
