Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a Moodle plugin that enables college students to create dynamic ePortfolios. These ePortfolios will be used for applications to higher-level education and employment, showcasing students' skills, accomplishments, and potential in a professional and impactful manner.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with our team to understand project requirements, goals, and target audience for the ePortfolio plugin.
• Design a user-friendly, intuitive, and responsive plugin interface that facilitates ease of navigation and content organization.
• Develop the plugin with a clean, professional aesthetic, incorporating customization options for users to personalize their ePortfolios.
• Implement features that allow students to include personal introductions, educational backgrounds, work experiences, extracurricular activities, skills and competencies, work portfolio, recommendations, and contact information.
• Ensure the plugin supports the addition of multimedia content, including images, videos, documents, and links to external work.
• Integrate privacy settings, allowing users to control the visibility of their ePortfolio content.
• Test the plugin for compatibility with various devices and Moodle versions, ensuring robust functionality and user experience.
• Provide documentation for the plugin, including installation, configuration, and user guides.
• Offer technical support and updates as needed to address any issues, improvements, or Moodle updates.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in Moodle plugin development, with a portfolio of previous projects.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Moodle's architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
• Excellent understanding of UX/UI design principles, especially in the context of educational platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills, with fluency in English.
