Migrate MongoDB 4.x Data to Parse Dashboard
Budget: $30 – $250 NZD
I have an old MongoDB 4.x data folder—the complete dbpath with all the *.bson files—that I now need merged into an already-running MongoDB instance. Rather than a simple dump file, you’ll be working directly with the legacy data directory, so I need somebody comfortable spinning up a temporary mongod with a custom --dbpath (or any workflow you prefer), exporting the collections, and restoring them into the live database.
Key points
• Source: physical data folder from MongoDB 4.x
• Target: an existing database on my current server (don’t overwrite what’s already there)
• Access: I can provide the zipped folder plus SSH to the destination box
Deliverables
1. All collections and documents from the old folder present in the target database, verified with matching counts
2. A brief log of the commands or script you used so I can repeat the process in the future
3. Confirmation that the live database’s pre-existing collections remain untouched
