MERN Education Backend Development
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My VIBE-built front-end for a student learning and testing platform is already in place; what’s left is a lean, well-structured back-end so the entire MERN stack can go live. I need you to spin up a Node.js/Express service, wire it to MongoDB, and expose the endpoints required by the existing React code.
Here’s what the back-end must cover:
• User authentication (JWT or comparable session strategy)
• Core database models and queries in MongoDB, using Mongoose
• RESTful routes that the current UI already expects
• Integration points for three APIs: a payment gateway, an external data source, and a notification service (web-push / email)
Acceptance criteria
• Every front-end call returns the correct payload or error code.
• Users can register, log in, purchase paid content, receive notifications, and pull external data without manual intervention.
• Clear README with environment variables, install steps, and a quick run script.
• Code passes basic linting and can be deployed to Heroku, Render, or an equivalent one-click host.
This iteration is modest in scope and capped at US $300; please only bid if that fits your expectations. I’m looking for speed now and reliability down the line—there are several follow-up projects in the pipeline, so a smooth collaboration here could turn into a long-term partnership.
